Beverley sent us an email from her iPad about a chimney-less home, which should be a pretty good clue . . .

I am sure there was a film, could be an animation, about a little girl who is upset because her house does not have a chimney. I just remember a scene where she has lit hundreds of lights along the pavement to direct Santa to her house.  I do hope someone can help me.  Thank you.

Trish recalls a film with Polly Holliday . . . I looked online, but only found The Gift of Love, which doesn't sound like the film described below.  You'd think I'd know this, since I used to live in Vermont . . .

Hi, there was a Christmas movie either in the late 80’s or early 90’s, that starred Polly Holliday. It was set in a small town in maybe Vermont, and she was in love with a man that ran a store in town that she had loved since high school but her parents wouldn’t let her see him; he is now married but still loves her. On Christmas eve every year he took her a rose and they spent an hour or so together, if I remember correctly. It was a wonderful movie and I have never seen it aired again. Would love to have a copy of it.

Michelle hints at the possibility of orphans . . .

Hello!  I've been searching for this movie for a very long time. I believe I saw it on TV over 3 years ago. I'm pretty sure it follows Santa, who does not remember who he is, as he works at a small toy shop owned by a couple (I want to say they are relatives?).  Eventually, of course, Christmas is saved when he is reminded of who he is and/or children believe in him again. There is a possibility that orphans involved.  It is a little bit Miracle on 34, but I have looked into all the versions and still have not found it. Please help!!
