One occasionally runs across an old deck of Elf Playing Cards.  It's difficult not to be charmed by them.

The illustration above is taken from Hoyle's Rules for Card Games, specifically, the 1928 edition published by the New York Consolidated Card Co., Long Island City, N.Y.

No. 93 Elf Playing Cards were available with Back Nos. 107 or 129.  The name "Squeezers" appears on the box top.
