Elf Playing Cards


If one collects playing cards, then one occasionally runs across an old deck of Elf Playing Cards.  It's difficult not to be charmed by them, because of their unique design..

 

 

The illustration above is taken from Hoyle's Rules for Card Games, specifically, the 1928 edition published by the New York Consolidated Card Co., Long Island City, N.Y.

No. 93 Elf Playing Cards were available with Back Nos. 107 or 129, as shown. No information was provided as to the color of the back design. The name "Squeezers" appears on the box top.
