movie poster I was going to call this list the 100 Greatest Films of All Time, but that sounded a bit grand. Please note, though, that what I didn't call this list was "100 Great Movies We All Agree On," because there's no such thing as universal agreement when it comes to great films. We each have our individual tastes, and your list could very well look far different from mine for that reason alone.

The purpose of this list is simply to stimulate thinking, and to serve as a handy checklist if you're looking for a good movie. The list is (at least supposed to be) in alphabetical order:
