Marienville, Pennsylvania is a small town in the Allegheny Mountains. It's difficult to find decent pictures of the town on the internet. This one is from an undated (but I'm guessing not too old) postcard:

Update
We recently heard from MP, a reader in Marienville, who advised us that the picture of central Marienville, above, must be about fifteen to twenty years old. She also stated that the old Marienville public school deteriorated and was eventually torn down, replaced by attractive new apartments. Many thanks for the information!
